BAPS FOSTERING AND ADOPTION POLICIES

 




To foster a dog:

 


1. You must come volunteer twice at BAPS. 

2. You must obtain permission from your landlord, boss, and any roomates.

3. you must commit to actively searching for a permanent home for the dog by contacting your family and friends, actively posting pictures and videos on your social media pages, and giving the dog every chance to find a home.

While fostering a dog:

1. You will cover all the costs of food, regular yearly vaccinations, monthly Heartguard/Frontline, hotel, and grooming.

2. BAPS will cover costs of medical care for developed illness.

3. You will cover the cost of medical care due to an accident under your care.

 

 


 



During foster care:

1. Dogs are still up for public adoption, and may be claimed at any point. They should be promptly returned to BAPS for such adoption

2. You will actively demonstrate efforts to find a permanent adoption for the dog, and if BAPS management does not see this, return the dog upon request.

3. Dogs may return temporarily while you are on vacation, provided you give enough warning to arrange return.

4. You must have a personal cellphone for contacting you.

5. You must contact Leo or Jin IMMEDIATELY in case anything happens to the dog (injured, lost, sick, etc.)


 


 

 

Ending foster care:

1. If you are returning the dog, please give BAPS at least FOUR weeks notice, so that we may prepare a space for the dog to arrive.

2. If you decide to adopt the dog yourself you may give notice at any time after FOUR weeks of foster care.

 


 


 

 

Pre-adoption:

1. You are responsible for the funding related to shipping a dog you find an adoptive home for. You can raise funds in the BAPS Facebook page.

2. BAPS will help you with information and phone calls related to the paperwork, but you have prepare it.


 

 


 



Adoption:

1. To adopt you must foster the dog for at least four weeks first, to ensure all the conditions for a successful adoption are met. (unless it is an international adoption)

2. Once a dog is officially adopted, BAPS will rescue a new dog to take its place. 

3. There is an adoption fee of 100,000 won, to cover the tests and vaccinations for the new dog.
